Damon Petrie is a Consultant Investment Director at Cibus Capital in Sydney, where he leads the company's agricultural strategy for Australia and New Zealand. A Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Damon also holds a Bachelor of Business from The University of New England. With over 12 years of experience in Audit, Financial Reporting, and Taxation – primarily in the agricultural sector – Damon previously oversaw the formation, integration, and sale of a beef supply chain including Sanger Australia and Bindaree Beef
Jason Silm

Jason Silm serves as Head of Agriculture and is a member of the Cibus Capital Investment Advisory Committee in London. With more than 20 years in agribusiness investment across Australia, Brazil, China, Europe, and CIS, Jason brings extensive experience to the board. Before joining Cibus, he was Head of Agribusiness Investments and Senior Investment Director at VTB Capital Private Equity in Moscow, and Global Head of Operations at Macquarie Agricultural Funds Management. Jason holds a Bachelor of Business from Charles Sturt University, Australia.
Tom Ritchie
Non-Executive Director
Tom Ritchie joined Cibus Capital as an Investment Director in London in September 2021. Prior to this, he spent 10 years at Rabobank, focusing on Food and Agriculture investments through the Rabo Food and Agri Innovation Fund, with an emphasis on impact investing in disruptive food and agricultural start-ups. Tom holds a BSc in Economics and Business from Exeter University.
